The Silent Genocide Too many dingoes are dying with out of control, monitored 4-wheel drivers careering over Fraser Island. The fact that backpackers and visitors can get off the planes here on the Coast and hire a 4-Wheel Drive then take off with little knowledge, maybe a few minute video, which they pay little attention too and off they go belting along the beaches. The very thought that some individual would have deliberately run over this poor dingo, whether she is a mother of puppies or a female dingo, is not acceptable. If a mother of puppies then the consequences for the puppies is dire and the rangers would know where they are with the result of the pups being destroyed as has been done countless times before. The sad fact is that on Fraser island there is a policy of a "silent genocide"on these unique dingoes . The lack of tourist control with the result of many dingo deaths either by 4-WD or by the dingo crime as stated by QPWS or "habituation" which the dingo has little choice but to cross paths with tourists there being a small Island.. The increasing disregard for native animals, whether, koala's or kangaroos or the dingoes on Fraser Island is showing a new trend in callousness that is extremely disturbing.. The very fact that animal cruelty is not policed and rarely ever prosecuted shows that even the authorities don't care?
