The Dingo is not protected by Australian law like all other native species are...
Dingoes do not decimate native wildlife and ruin ecosystems!!!
Beyond doubt, the dingo is the top native predator. It preys on the weak and sick of the abundant species that in turn prey on other animals or are herbivores.
This predation by dingoes keeps the other species from overpopulating and out competing one another. Dingoes have been doing this job successfully for thousands of years.
With this in mind, it is absurd to suggest that they would suddenly pose a threat to wildlife.
When dingoes are absent from an environment, kangaroos, wallabies, foxes and cats overpopulate and destroy vegetation and endangered small marsupials.
When dingoes are present, kangaroo and wallaby populations remain healthy and balanced, and foxes and cats, which are not native to this country, are suppressed.
This keeps the numbers of animals in balance, allowing small marsupials to thrive and native vegetation to flourish.
Dingoes ARE so very necessary for our ecosystems, we cannot do without them!!!
